WORD Bookstores x Trash Club Brooklyn present a Kids Book Swap Event at WORD Greenpoint! Bring books you’re ready to part with, swap them for new favorites, then, draw & paint your favorite book characters & quotes on the bench in front of WORD!

About the event
Book Swap Guidelines
- This swap is for books for K - 12th Grade readers.
- Please bring books that are in good, readable condition. Books with missing covers or missing pages will not be accepted.
- 15 book limit per participant.
- You have the option of dropping off your swap books at the front desk of WORD as early as Monday 9/9, but you also are welcome to wait to bring them on 9/13, the day of the event.
The Bench Glow Up
After the swap we invite all participants to help beautify the bench out in front of WORD by sketching favorite book characters or writing beloved book quotes.
We’ll provide sketch pencils and colorful paint markers.
