Trash Club Brooklyn is a proud member of the Adopt A Spot NYC Initiative and a proud winner of the SF Customized Tool Kit Grant. The official nonprofit partner of the NYC Department of Sanitation, The Sanitation Foundation supports the work of DSNY to clean up the city & reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills. They help individuals, corporate partners, institutions & community groups to create a cleaner, healthier, more sustainable NYC.
Established in 2009, WORD is the awesomest independent community bookstore with the most lovable staff in the multiverse. With locations in Greenpoint, BK and Jersey City, WORD hosts events including book launches, author talks, book clubs and more. Plus, their sidelines and merch are LIT.
WORD Greenpoint has recently partnered with Trash Club Brooklyn to organize community book exchanges.
We love partnering with Friends of WNYC Transmitter Park to help out at their Sunday Gardening Event. The mission of the Friends of Transmitter Park is to protect and care for WNYC Transmitter Park in partnership with the local community and NYC Department of Parks and Recreation. They treasure Transmitter Park as a sanctuary and refuge for insects, birds, plants and wildlife, and honor it as a sacred common space for all Greenpoint residents and visitors.
